For those of you who don't know, I lost foohonpie.com years ago to some rather aggressive domain squatters. I've considered it long since gone and had grown to accept that foohonpie.net would forever be my home on the web.
This was always a sad thing for me as foohonpie.com was my first registered domain, my first website, the first home to S.N.A.T., and perhaps most importantly my first vehicle of expression to a community of friends and strangers. To me, as a writer, it's extremely gratifying to have had an opportunity to connect with readers in a way that is only possible online. As a web developer, it's even more gratifying that this was all happening on a platform that I had created.
So with all this history, having lost the domain was a serious bummer. Sure, foohonpie.net was the next logical choice and indeed it has served me well, but I am happy to be in control of the .com once again. I won't go into the details involved in this whole mess, but let's just say luck was on my side this time and I'm happy to have it back. Sure it's just a name, but in the world of the web, a name is no trivial matter.
With its return comes a newly designed website. I've taken a fairly serious approach to layout design this time around and hopefully it shows. Of course, comments and/or criticisms are more than welcome. Enjoy!
