Ice-breakers aside, it was brought to my attention that apparently I don't communicate through these newsposts as much as I should. My feelings on this are usually that if I don't have anything particularly important or entertaining to say, I should refrain from saying anything at all, else these newsposts become nothing other than bloggy type deals that will no doubt end up being read by nobody.
That said, I suppose there are some things I could keep you guys updated on, and hey if you just want me to talk to you then I've got no problem with that. Just don't complain when I fill this place up with my current mood or what music I'm listening to.
So let's get on with it.
Firstly, I've received some expressions of concern regarding the ads on the site, specifically their existence in the forum. I've never been fond of ads myself, but the google adsense program is relatively unobtrusive. I'm not out to make a profit on these sites, but maintaining them does cost money and let's face it, working at Legoland for 7 bucks an hour isn't gonna cut it forever. So the ads do help a little bit.
Secondly, and on a happier note, a big thanks to all of you guys regarding the return of foohonpie and SNAT. I do make these comics for my own entertainment, but I also make them with the thought in my mind that somebody out there will find them worthy of a chuckle. The response I've received since last week has been nothing short of uplifting for my spirits. Not that I've been feeling down or anything, but it's great to know that you guys are as excited to have the comic back as I am.
And another thanks to the forumers. Aside from a tiny issue with spam (chomp, evilsheep, you silly bastards), the flow of forum activity has been great. I've always hated having dead forums, and now that they seem to be active I couldn't be happier. Of course, more people in there from time to time couldn't hurt so if you haven't already go ahead and <a href="http://www.foohonpie.net/forums/">join the party</a>. Is there really sex and rootbeer? The world may never know.
That's all I can think of I guess. I could talk about other things, but I don't want this conversation to be forced. I'm sure you guys wouldn't be interested in what I had for breakfast anyway... even if it was THE FLESH OF 27 CHILDREN. Or cheerios or something. I don't really remember to be honest.
